Since starting Full Day Kindergarten in Ontario in 2010, The Ministry of Education has been making positive changes including updating the 70 year old Legislation known as The Day Nurseries Act (DNA). Now it is referred to as The Child Care and Early Years Act which established new rules governing child care in Ontario.
This month , The Ministry of Education has just released Building a Better Future: A discussion paper for transforming early years and child care in Ontario and has invited the community , including parents and ECE staff, to make submissions online and/or in person at a series of public consultation meetings in selected communities around Ontario.
The deadline to complete the online survey is January 15th 2017.
